Task Example: Bridge Building

This bridge had become damaged and was no longer high enough to cope with rising flood waters.

The new bridge is started by the placing of supporting posts.

Long strips of wood are fixed in place to support slats on the bridge.

Slats are placed along the length of the bridge and fixed in place.

Completed section of bridge with some of the old bridge still visible beneath. The old bridge was removed at the end of the task.
